Who these terms are with
Wood Consulting LLC, Watertown, New York, operating as WC Solar, WC Water, and WC Consulting.
What the site is for
Information about what we sell and how we work, forms to ask for a quote, apply to sell with us, or ask about partnering, and the page where our book is sold. Nothing on the site is a contract. Any work we do for you is governed by the written agreement you sign for that work.
Quotes, numbers, and claims
Prices, savings, production figures, timelines, and financing terms shown on this site are examples until we have looked at your specific address, roof, bill, and utility. A real quote comes after that review and is only final in the written agreement. Financing is offered by third-party lenders on their own terms and subject to their approval. Solar production and savings depend on your roof, your utility, and your usage, and we do not guarantee them.
Selling with WC
Submitting a rep application is a request to talk with us. It is not an offer of employment and we may decline it. Sales positions with WC are commission-based independent contractor roles unless a signed agreement says otherwise. We make no promise of income. Any figures we discuss are examples, not guarantees.
Bishop
Bishop is an automated assistant that answers from a fixed set of facts about WC. It can be wrong. It does not give quotes, legal, tax, or financial advice, and nothing it says binds WC. Confirm anything that matters with a person at the number below.
Buying the book
Solar Doesn't Sell Itself is sold as a PDF through Square and as a paperback through Lulu. Your purchase is also subject to their terms. The book is for your own use. You may not copy, resell, or share the PDF. Returns and refunds are covered in our refund policy. The book is the author's opinion and experience, not legal, financial, or professional advice.
What you send us
You are responsible for what you submit and for having the right to send it, including any photo or file you attach. Do not send anything false, unlawful, or that belongs to someone else. You give us permission to use what you send for the purpose you sent it.
Our content
The text, photos, the WC mark and wordmark, the book, the Field Playbook, and the WC App are owned by Wood Consulting LLC or used with permission. Partner and lender marks belong to their owners and appear only to identify them. You may link to this site. You may not copy or reuse its content without written permission.
Other sites
Links to Lulu, Square, lenders, Facebook, Honest Water by WC, and other sites lead to services we do not control. Their terms and privacy policies apply there.
No warranty
The site is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it is error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limit on liability
To the extent the law allows, Wood Consulting LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site. For anything else arising from the site, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us through the site in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here changes the terms of a signed agreement for work.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes about the site will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Jefferson County, New York, unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
