THE BOOK · REVISED SEPTEMBER 2026
Solar doesn't sell itself. They have to buy you first.
The playbook every WC rep trains on, in print. Twenty-six named closes in five families, the Protector Method, and the field chapters on reading the room and working the area. Written on porches, not in a classroom.
Selling with us? The book is in your kit on day one. Sell With WC.
01 //FROM THE FIRST PAGE
Let me tell you what this book is not.
It's not a hype reel. It's not a highlight package of big commission screenshots and motivational quotes about Lamborghinis. It's not going to tell you that you're a warrior, a closer, a savage, or any other word the solar bro ecosystem uses to make average performers feel like they're one mindset shift away from a yacht.
This book is about something less exciting to talk about and significantly more valuable to actually have. Steady money. The kind of reputation where neighbors call you before they call anyone else. A career in a high-paying industry that doesn't collapse the second people start comparing notes about how they were sold.
That's what The Protector Method is built on. Not a ceiling on your income. A floor on your integrity.
02 //WHAT'S INSIDE
Three parts. One method. Every door.
01
The Protector Method.
How this works, and the world you are walking into. The homeowner feels heard and protected, not pitched, and closes because they trust you.
02
The closes.
Twenty-six named closes in five families, each one a real conversation: what they said, what you say, why it works, and when to leave it alone.
03
In the field.
Before You Knock. Read the Room. Work the Area. Not every customer is a today customer, and it all starts with a close.
//
The cheat sheet.
The back matter folds the method onto two pages you can carry. Every WC rep has it on their phone before their first door.
03 //THE CLOSES
Every "no" you will hear this year, by name.
The objections do not change. The book groups them the way they show up at the door, and gives each one a close you can say out loud without sounding like a script.

04 //WHO IT IS FOR
New to the door.
Read it before your first shift. You will know what the homeowner is about to say before they say it, and what to do when they do.
Running a team.
One method for the whole board, so training is a chapter number instead of a ride-along. It is the curriculum WC trains on.
Own the house.
Read it before you let anyone in. You will know exactly which close is being run on you, and which questions a straight rep will not mind.
05 //THE AUTHOR
Written in solar. Built for every door.
Aryen Wood is a disabled U.S. Navy veteran who spent eight years as a Navy electrician on nuclear submarines and Navy vessels. He did not walk into sales after the service. He fell into it out of need, in the spring of 2020, because rent was due. Fifteen years of business leadership, seven in solar, thousands of doors, and sales teams in 42 states later, this is the method those teams run on. The whole story.
